8A, 18V Synchronous Step-Down Regulator Delivers 8A from 7mm x 8mm QFN

MILPITAS, CA - August 5, 2008 - The LTC3608 is a high efficiency, synchronous buck regulator that can deliver up to 8A of continuous output current at voltages as low as 0.6V. It operates from an input voltage range of 4V to 18V (20V ABS Max), making it ideal for applications with multicell Li-Ion, lead acid batteries or fixed voltage rails up to 15V. Its valley current control architecture delivers very low duty cycle operation at high frequencies with excellent transient response.

12-Bit, 3Msps SAR ADC Dissipates Only 7.2mW in Tiny Thin SOT23 Package

Linear Technology Corporation introduces the LTC2366, a 12-bit successive approximation register (SAR) ADC that outputs data at up to 3Msps in tiny 6- and 8-lead TSOT-23 packages. Operating from a single 2.35V to 3.6V supply, the LTC2366 consumes only 7.2mW at the maximum output rate, a 20% power savings over the nearest competitor. With its tiny footprint and very low power dissipation, the LTC2366 is ideal for a wide variety of portable and space-constrained applications, including medical devices, communication systems, and industrial monitors.
