HW group s.r.o., a Czech Republic based manufacturer of remote control devices, introduces a new version of the popular IP Relay product. The new ER02a can be mounted on a DIN rail, a panel, or a wall. A key feature is the ability to switch 230VAC mains voltage, up to 16A, with two independent relays.
HWg-ER02a IP Relay combines two Ethernet-controlled relays and a RS-232 / Ethernet converter. The device can be used to reset or power-cycle other remote equipment. The device can also be used as a remote RS-232/485 serial port. This is often used to connect barcode readers, printers, access control units, or similar equipment.
Users can take advantage of the HW VSP Multi Port software that can create up to 64 virtual Ethernet-connected serial ports on a single PC (Windows 2000/XP/Vista). Output contacts can be controlled over HW VSP, or via freely available examples for several programming languages.
